Teaching and research:
Prof. Digel teaches Design Foundations and Basic Design as a “topography” of the design media and design phenomena. Or– one could also say as a testing arrangement for the experiment in design. Students experience experimental and perception based design processes, they learn to set parameters for the practical and theoretical process in order to develop their individual design skills.
In the Graduate Program “Heterotopia” Prof. Digel represents the studio „Spatial Relations” where she investigates the relations of man, space and objects. The studio is a place for experiments in the cutting edge between arts and design and it bridges the faculty of Design to the departments of Performing Arts.
