ABOUT THE STUDIO
The studio “Society in Motion” offers students a field of study that concentrates on general societal phenomena with special focus on “movement”. The term “society” is to be understood as multi-dimensional and includes not only people but also their artefacts and information. The change processes occurring within society between people, between people and artefacts or between people and information is that which we refer to as “movement” and we see this dynamic as a challenging design task. Societal issues are approached from a variety of perspectives at the studio, and the subsequent design process is being developed further continuously with the help of cross-disciplinary methods. A heterogeneous research team consisting of students, experts and various cooperative partners creates the basis for creative exchange and innovative solution approaches, which are addressed and developed jointly.
