ABOUT THE STUDIO
Creative subjective design
Visual narration is a creative subjective approach to design using artistic means of expression. It develops images, communicates by way of image ideas, and narrates of interrelationships using semantics and techniques. It originates from the image as an aesthetic unit, but reaches beyond and connects visual media: Image and word, words as images, images as text, text for images, images, words and sounds in time and space.
Visual narration is based on elemental cognitive and communicative culture technique, the ability to orientate oneself in complex relationships (a complexity that develops in time and space) and to understand and communicate these relationships. It can be seen as a form of perception, acquisition and communication.
Visual narration is a new direction between art and design, between experiment and argument, which gains new perspectives by way of a minor panning of the point of view from the artist or the designer to a subjective creator, from the autonomous or functional image to one communicated vie the idea of the image, from one to a series of images, to an inter-media combination and from a focus on individual objects to the techniques of their interlinking.
